Follow A Child
Follow A Child
Follow A Child, help a Community.
The Malawian government subsidizes primary school in the hope most families will find the balance so that their children will get some form of education, but they do not do the same for secondary education or university. This is why we feel Follow A Child is so important. We want to see all children have an education and through educating the next generation they will be able to help improve not only their family but the village, district and nation.
Sponsorship will cover your child’s education from nursery school to high school, and
also the opportunity to help their community on a larger scale.
Following a child, or sponsoring them, is not in the traditional sense we’ve come to
know from other programs.
It will also help support the community according to Chisomo’s mission statement:
$30 per Month
During the child’s nursery school years, the funding helps the following:
• The teachers’ wages. (x6)
• Uniforms.
• Educational materials and supplies.
• Meal –a-day.
• Building upkeep.
As the child progresses into primary school and beyond, the funding continues to
cover the child’s education such as uniform, school fees, materials and books.
It will also help the wider community needs as they occur.
These needs may include malaria medicine, hygienic items and food parcels.
Following a Child is a fundraising tool and you get the privilege of following the
progress of a specific child and as a result,
You get to see your investment in that child’s life.
