To support the people of Wilson village to improve their living quality and learn new skills.
Malawi officially the Republic of Malawi and formerly known as Nyasaland, is a landlocked country in Southeastern Africa. It is bordered by Zambia to the west, Tanzania to the north and northeast, and Mozambique to the east, south and southwest. Malawi spans over 118,484 km2 (45,747 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 19,431,566 (as of January 2021). Malawi's capital and largest city is Lilongwe. Its second-largest is Blantyre, its third-largest is Mzuzu and its fourth-largest is Zomba, the former capital. Malawi's native language is Chichewa and different areas have their own dialects. Wilson village where Chisomo is located speak Chitonga.
Malawi is a poor country. When the founder of Chisomo first came to Malawi it was the poorest country in the world. Thankfully through charities like Chisomo Support Ministries and others in Malawi, it has now moved up the ladder slightly to the 3rd poorest country in the world.
Even though Malawi has climb up the economic ladder it is still very poor, with limited industry in the whole country which means there is very little work available. Therefore many families need help and this is why we are here.

Donate to Chisomo
All charities run because of generous donations because people have a heart to give, but some people like to give to specific programs or people rather than a general donation. If you are one of those people then we have the following programs. Follow a Child and Current Fundraising.
Below are 3 other ways you can support a specific group.
Give as your heart leads.
Donate an amount that suits you as often as you like. These hampers are given to anyone in the village in need.
Give to help feed the children that come to one of our Nursery schools. Sometimes this is the only meal a child might have for the day.
The Elderly gather weekly, you can now sponsor them to help us continue to give them a meal each week. These meals quite often are the only time the elderly eat meat for the whole week.
$15 a month
One of the first things we did was to build a Community Hall for the purpose of a central gathering place for any programs we run but also as a base for people to come to where ideas can be shared.
The hall is in need of repair, through fundraising we have replaced the roof and will continue to make repairs as we continue to fundraise.

Wilson Village has 500 houses and a population of 1800 people.
A Car
You may ask why are you fundraising for a car?
Currently when our Founder/President is in Malawi for 7 months each year, we are hiring a car so that she may get around to the nursery schools and also to town to buy supplies. The rest of the year the manager has to take public transport to buy and deliver supplies.
We as a board will not use money that has been donated to any specific program to be used on anything else except what it was donated for.
We have decided to do a fundraising event for a car along side all the other fundraising we do.
Keep an eye out for this next event which we will post details about soon.
Direct donations can be made below on the Donations Button at the bottom of this page.
